CAFNIA · ABOUT

An African center of excellence for knowledge and innovation

CAFNIA SARL (African Center for Training in Digital and Artificial Intelligence) is a company under Congolese law registered in Kinshasa (382, Ixoras Avenue, 7th Street, Residential District, Limete Municipality) dedicated to nurturing a new generation of experts, researchers and authors serving the African continent.

Our story

Born from the conviction that Africa must produce, structure and share its own scientific knowledge, CAFNIA brings together six complementary pillars: Training, Research, Journal, Editions, Library and Events; supported by an AI assistant and an integrated digital platform.

Three words sum up our method: publish, train, advise, in that order, because publishing is what builds scientific credibility and gives the other two activities their legitimacy. Our approach combines academic rigor, international openness and African rootedness.

What sets us apart

Five choices that structure our work, and that anyone can verify.

  • We publish.

Few training organisations in the DRC run a publishing house and a scientific journal; this activity gives our expertise a verifiable foundation rather than a mere claim.

  • We write our procedures, and we publish them.

Collections charter, submission circuit, double-blind review policy, diamond model, CC BY licence: everything can be read on this site before you even write to us.

  • We do not charge authors.

In a landscape where scientific publishing has become pay-to-publish for African researchers, the full free access of our journal is a stance, not a sales argument.

  • We work to international standards.

ISBN, ISSN, DOI, ORCID and ROR identifiers, long-term archiving, compliance with COPE principles: these are the conditions of real recognition, and we apply them from the very first title.

  • We are rooted in Kinshasa.

Our collections deal with what is decided here (public governance, critical infrastructure, the digital transformation of administrations) and our authors are the people who work on it.
