On Saturday 24 January 2026, CAFNIA held the launch of the book "Population Explosion and Planning Crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo" by Dr Donat-Soft Mukuna Muya at the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles in Kinshasa. The ceremony was honoured by the presence of Professor Jean-Marie Kayembe Ntumba, Rector of the University of Kinshasa, before a large audience of researchers, academics, decision-makers and development enthusiasts. This landmark book analyses the DRC's demographic growth and its consequences for development planning, and puts forward concrete policy recommendations.
